Burners are broadly grouped into atmospheric types, which draw combustion air by gas-jet injection, and forced-draught types, where a fan supplies air in a controlled ratio. Atmospheric designs are simple and quiet, while forced-draught designs give wider turndown and tighter control of excess air. Either type needs a gas train with a filter, a pressure regulator, double shut-off valves and flame failure protection, and we can help you verify that each element is present.
Commissioning should be carried out by competent staff using a combustion analyser, adjusting the air-to-gas ratio until oxygen and carbon monoxide readings are within the burner maker's limits. Records of these readings help later troubleshooting, and we are glad to supply suitable fuel for test firing during start-up.
