A nitrogen cylinder from REAL GAZ holds inert, dry nitrogen at about 200 bar in a seamless steel vessel, ready to connect to a regulator and use. Nitrogen is non-flammable, non-toxic and does not support combustion, which is why it appears in so many workshops, kitchens and plants.

Cylinders follow ISO 9809 and EN 1964 construction rules, carry the TPED mark in Europe and are colour-coded under EN 1089-3 with a black shoulder, for workshop and process use.
Nitrogen makes up 78% of air and is colourless and odourless, so it gives no warning when it displaces oxygen. Always use cylinders in ventilated areas, fix them upright with a chain or bracket, and fit a regulator rated for the full cylinder pressure. Cylinder valves should be opened slowly, and empty cylinders should be returned with the valve closed.
Common cylinder sizes include 10 litres, holding about 2 cubic metres, 20 litres with about 4 cubic metres, 40 litres with about 8 cubic metres and 50 litres with about 10 cubic metres. Choose a size that your team can move safely, and use a trolley for anything above 20 litres. Our drivers will bring cylinders to the point of use when access allows.
