Technical grade does not mean careless: the gas still leaves our plant dried and analysed. What differs from food or laboratory grade is the extent of testing and the impurity limits, which are set for industrial tolerance. If a process is sensitive to oil, hydrocarbons or sulphur compounds, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will advise whether technical grade is adequate or a higher grade is justified.
Quantities are measured by weight rather than pressure. Liquid CO₂ in a cylinder sits at roughly 57 bar at 20 °C regardless of how much remains, so a pressure gauge only tells you the gas is still liquid. Weigh the cylinder against the tare weight stamped on its collar to know how much remains, and arrange the next delivery before it is empty.
