Mixtures are prepared under ISO 6142, validated under ISO 6143 and reported in the manner of ISO 17025 laboratories, meeting the needs of environmental and process control teams.
Concentration ranges extend from low ppm to several percent, and the choice of cylinder treatment depends on the additive. Aluminium cylinders with a passivated wall are preferred for sulphur compounds and nitrogen oxides, while carbon dioxide and oxygen mixtures are stable in standard treated steel. Shelf life is stated on the certificate, usually twelve to thirty-six months.
Ordering is simple: give the components, the concentrations, the preferred tolerance class and the cylinder size. Standard tolerance classes run from ±10% relative for working standards to ±1% for reference mixtures. Lead times depend on the complexity of the blend, and our laboratory will confirm what is realistic before accepting your order.
Storage conditions affect stability. Keep mixtures between 5 and 40 °C, away from direct sun, and avoid placing a cylinder against a cold outside wall, since condensation of heavier components can alter the composition. Use the cylinder down to a residual pressure of about 5 bar, because the final portion of any mixture is the least reliable.
