Typical cylinders range from 2 to 50 litres. Repeat orders can be matched to the same specification batch after batch, which keeps trend data consistent from one calibration campaign to the next. For heavier components such as pentanes, we limit the filling pressure so that no liquid drops out inside the cylinder, and we recommend storage at a stable room temperature.
Typical specialty ranges include 1 ppm to 5% for each component, with nitrogen, helium or air as balance. Certified values are given in mol/mol or volume fraction as you prefer, and the certificate lists the preparation method, uncertainty and recommended use-by date. Aluminium cylinders with a special internal treatment are preferred for low-ppm unsaturated species, because ordinary steel can slowly adsorb or react with them.
