Specialty grades are defined by what they leave out. Typical limits cover oxygen, moisture, hydrocarbons, nitrogen and carbon dioxide at parts-per-million or parts-per-billion levels. Stainless internal surfaces, dedicated valves and controlled fill lines help keep those limits intact all the way from our filling station to your regulator. Cylinders of 10, 20 and 50 litres are common, with DIN 477 and CGA outlets according to market.
Choosing the right grade saves money. Argon 5.0 (99.999 %) covers most ICP-OES, GC and OES work, while 6.0 (99.9999 %) is reserved for ICP-MS, surface science and critical vacuum processes.
