Frames follow EN 12079 and DNV 2.7-1 principles, while cylinders are made to ISO 9809 and tested under EN 1964 and TPED rules.
Racks are available in several layouts. A standard twelve-cylinder frame suits routine nitrogen and argon duty, while a lower six-cylinder frame fits beneath walkways or inside tight modules. Heavier gases such as carbon dioxide are usually supplied in racks with a reduced cylinder count, because the gross weight must stay inside the crane or davit limit. Frames are fabricated from structural steel sections, finished with a marine paint system or hot-dip galvanising, and fitted with fork pockets, padeyes and a protective top cover. Cylinders sit in individual cells or behind straps, so a damaged valve cannot strike its neighbour. When a rack returns to shore it is cleaned, inspected, repainted if the coating is damaged and refilled for the next sailing.
