COOLEX WELDING NOZZLE β nozzles for gas welding, brazing and heating
The Coolex Welding Nozzle is intended for torches used in gas welding, brazing and heating. REAL GAZ supplies it with oxygen and fuel gas to complete the setup.
Welding nozzles produce a soft, controllable flame rather than a cutting jet, so selecting the correct size for the metal thickness is important.

Supply follows EN ISO 5172, ISO 9539 and EN 730-1 guidance, suitable for workshop and maintenance use.
π Where Coolex Welding Nozzles Are Used
- π₯ Gas welding of thin steel β small nozzles give a gentle flame for sheet and tube;
- π₯ Brazing and silver soldering β joints on copper, brass and steel fittings are made with a controlled neutral flame;
- π‘οΈ Preheating β larger parts are warmed before welding to reduce cracking risk;
- π© Straightening and bending β heat is applied locally to correct distorted steel sections.
π‘ Why Choose REAL GAZ
- β Controlled flame β a steady, easily adjusted flame for fine work;
- π§ͺ Gas range β oxygen with acetylene or propane according to the torch;
- π― Size advice β we help match nozzle number to material thickness;
- π Safety fittings β arrestors and check valves in the same supply;
- π Certificate of Analysis (CoA) β supplied with every gas order.
π¬ Quality Control & Safety
- nozzle bore and finish inspection;
- torch fit confirmation;
- gas purity and moisture analysis;
- leak testing and pressure integrity checks.
Gas cylinders supplied with the equipment comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
π οΈ Welding Nozzle Handling Notes
- Set a neutral flame for most steel welding: an excess of acetylene carburises the weld, while excess oxygen oxidises it.
- Wear shade-appropriate eye protection and keep flammable materials clear of the work area.
- Light and shut down the torch in the sequence recommended by the manufacturer to avoid backfire.
π§ Flame Settings for Welding
For gas welding of mild steel the neutral flame is standard, with a well-defined inner cone. A slightly carburising flame is sometimes used for hard-facing, while a slightly oxidising flame suits brass welding. Brazing normally uses a softer flame with a gentle outer envelope to heat the joint evenly without melting the parent metal. Select the nozzle number from the torch makerβs table according to metal thickness, and adjust gas pressures at the regulators rather than at the torch valves alone. Always use the filler rod and flux recommended for the alloy. Practising on scrap pieces before working on a customerβs part is a sensible habit for any new operator.
