📦 Liquid Phase, Fill Ratio & Temperature
Because the product is a liquefied gas, the pressure inside the cylinder depends on temperature rather than on the amount remaining. Pressure falls only when the liquid is nearly exhausted, so use weight to monitor consumption. Fill ratios are held below the permitted limit to leave room for thermal expansion, and cylinders must never be stored in direct sun or near radiators.
For vapour draw-off at higher flows, warm the cylinder gently with a thermostatic cabinet at a controlled temperature, not with a flame. For liquid draw-off, use a dip-tube valve or invert the cylinder in a proper cradle. REAL GAZ staff can specify evaporators, check valves and flow meters and recommend a safe, documented procedure for each setup.
Take care when planning storage: a cylinder that is cold when delivered and then moved into a warm room will gain pressure as the liquid warms. Allow it to equilibrate, and keep it away from heat sources. Never exceed the working pressure of downstream equipment, and fit a pressure relief device wherever liquid could become trapped between valves.
