Welding Gas Acetylene โ€” hot, controllable flame for oxy-fuel work
Welding gas acetylene from REAL GAZ burns with oxygen at around 3,100 ยฐC, the hottest flame of the common fuel gases, so metal heats quickly and puddles are easy to control.
It is stored dissolved in acetone inside a porous mass, because free acetylene is unstable above about 1.5 bar.
Supply is aligned with EN ISO 3807 for acetylene cylinders, ISO 14114 for equipment and EN ISO 5172 for torches, suitable for workshop and site use.
Oxy-acetylene is valued for gas welding thin steel sheet, for silver and bronze brazing and for pre-heating thick sections before arc welding. The primary flame cone is intensely hot and the neutral flame produces a reducing envelope that protects the pool. Cylinders are filled to about 15 bar at 15 ยฐC, and the gas must be drawn slowly to avoid carrying acetone into the hose.

๐Ÿญ Where Welding Acetylene Is Used
  • โš™๏ธ Gas welding โ€” joining thin steel sheet, tube and repair work on site;
  • ๐Ÿ”ฌ Brazing and soldering โ€” silver, bronze and copper-phosphorus joints on pipes and fittings;
  • ๐Ÿฅ Pre-heating โ€” raising casting and plate temperature to prevent cracking before arc welding;
  • ๐Ÿš€ Straightening โ€” heat shrinking and flame straightening on structural steel.

๐Ÿ’ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
  • โœ… Rapid heat โ€” high flame temperature shortens start-up and weld time;
  • ๐Ÿงช Consistent filling โ€” correct acetone content maintained for steady withdrawal;
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Neutral flame control โ€” stable burning for precise adjustment by the welder;
  • ๐Ÿ”’ Safety equipment โ€” regulators and flashback arrestors available with the gas;
  • ๐Ÿ“„ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ€” supplied with every order.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Safe Use Rules
Store acetylene cylinders upright, secured, and well away from oxygen cylinders unless separated by a fire barrier. Never use copper pipework or fittings with more than 70 per cent copper, never exceed 1.5 bar working pressure, and fit flashback arrestors at both regulator and torch. A cylinder that has been laid down must stand upright for at least 12 hours before use. A good welder checks hose condition, nozzle cleanliness and leak tightness before every shift, since most oxy-fuel incidents trace back to neglected equipment rather than the gas.

๐Ÿ”ฌ Quality Control & Safety
  • porous-mass and solvent level inspection;
  • valve and safety fuse checks;
  • leak testing with approved fluid;
  • pressure and weight verification at fill.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
