Technical grade is intended for applications where small variations in minor impurities do not affect the result, such as bleaching baths, drying chambers and general treatment. If your process involves contact with food, drinking water or sensitive catalysts, ask about a higher grade, because regulatory acceptance depends on purity and intended use.
Store full and empty cylinders separately, close valves firmly after use and refit the valve protection cap. Do not use grease or oil on any fitting. Because SO₂ is heavier than air, vapours collect near the floor, so extraction and detectors should be placed low. REAL GAZ provides safety data sheets in advance and can recommend regulator types, tubing materials and a simple leak-test routine for each changeover.
For fumigation or drying chambers, calculate dosage from chamber volume and the target concentration, and ventilate fully before anyone re-enters. Keep a written record of each treatment, including date, quantity used and the operator responsible, since local rules on residual sulfite in food often require this information.
