Technical grade does not mean careless handling. Wear gloves and eye protection when connecting hoses, since liquid refrigerant can cause cold burns, and never release gas to atmosphere. R-407C is non-toxic at normal concentrations but heavier than air, so low-lying plant rooms need ventilation and, above certain charge sizes, refrigerant detectors under EN 378. Maintain a log of top-ups to identify slow leaks early.
