Air quality is specified with reference to ISO 8573-1 purity classes for particles, water and oil, while cylinders follow EN 1964, ISO 9809 and TPED requirements.
Compressed air stored in a cylinder behaves differently from compressor output: it is already cooled and dried, so there is no condensate in the line when you open the valve. A standard 50 litre cylinder at 200 bar holds about 10 cubic metres of free air, enough for several hours of intermittent tool use. For heavy consumption we build manifolded racks of 12 cylinders with a single outlet. Please note that technical air is not intended for breathing; a separate grade made to EN 12021 is available for that purpose.
