📦 Handling & Storage of Acetylene Cylinders
Technical cylinders should be stored in a covered, ventilated cage with a No Smoking sign and a fire extinguisher close by. Oxygen and acetylene cylinders must be separated, either by several metres or by a non-combustible wall. Keep valve caps in place during transit, use a trolley with a restraining chain, and do not leave cylinders in a closed vehicle in hot weather. Empty cylinders keep some residual gas and solvent, so close their valves and treat them as full.
