Stainless regulators are chosen when brass would corrode, contaminate or react with the gas. Grade 316L offers excellent resistance to chlorides and many acids, and its low carbon content helps weld integrity in custom assemblies. For corrosive gases such as hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulphide or ammonia, moisture control is just as important as material choice, so the system should be purged with dry nitrogen before and after use. Typical ranges are 0-1.5 to 0-20 bar outlet with inlet up to 200 bar, and diaphragms may be stainless or Hastelloy depending on the gas. We can supply the regulator together with the correct cylinder valve, purge assembly and non-return valve so that the whole connection is made of compatible materials, which also simplifies risk assessment and staff training.
