Specialty Gas R-407C โ defined composition for demanding applications
Specialty Gas R-407C from REAL GAZ is produced with the tighter composition and impurity limits expected of specialty products, rather than general trade grade.
Gravimetric preparation holds R-32, R-125 and R-134a close to 23/25/52 mass percent.
Gravimetric preparation holds R-32, R-125 and R-134a close to 23/25/52 mass percent.
Preparation and verification follow ISO 6142, ISO 17025 competence principles and AHRI 700 limits, intended for OEM and quality-critical users.
๐ญ Where R-407C as a Specialty Gas Are Used
- โ๏ธ OEM production lines โ charging factory-built chillers and heat pumps where every unit is tested for capacity;
- ๐ฌ Performance rating โ supplying calorimeter rooms that certify equipment efficiency;
- ๐ฅ Material compatibility studies โ evaluating elastomers, seals and lubricants against a defined blend;
- ๐ Leak detector calibration โ providing a reference refrigerant when sniffers and detection systems are verified.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Gravimetric blending โ mass-based preparation gives a known, reproducible composition;
- ๐งช Low impurity levels โ limits on moisture, acidity and non-condensables protect sensitive hardware;
- ๐ฏ Analytical backing โ each lot is analysed before release, not assumed from the process;
- ๐ Controlled documentation โ lot numbers link every cylinder to its analysis record.
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- multi-stage purification of components;
- gravimetric blending on calibrated balances;
- gas chromatographic composition check;
- moisture and non-condensable impurity analysis.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
๐ Technical and Handling Notes
The blend is zeotropic, so composition shifts if vapour is drawn from a partly filled cylinder. For specialty use the cylinder should therefore be emptied only by liquid withdrawal, with the user keeping a note of remaining mass. Oil compatibility requires POE or PVE lubricants. At 20 ยฐC pressure is around 11 bar; GWP is approximately 1774, so recovery after testing is expected under current F-gas rules.
Specialty users often ask about measurement uncertainty. When a refrigerant is blended gravimetrically, each component is weighed into the cylinder on a balance whose calibration is traceable, so the stated composition carries a defined uncertainty rather than an assumption. This allows rating laboratories to repeat performance tests on different days and cylinders with confidence that the working fluid has not changed. If your application demands a particular impurity limit, such as water below 10 ppm by weight or air below 1.5 percent in the vapour phase, tell us when you enquire so the lot can be analysed and documented to your requirement. For critical programmes we can reserve a full lot for one customer, which keeps the refrigerant uniform over an entire test campaign or production run.
