Blends are prepared in accordance with ISO 6142, with composition checks under ISO 6143 and quality management based on ISO 9001 principles.
Typical requests include CO with CO₂, CH₄ and H₂ in nitrogen for biogas and syngas analysers, CO with propane and oxygen for combustion testing, and CO in hydrogen for fuel-cell tolerance studies. Cylinder choice depends on the mixture. Low-concentration CO blends in nitrogen are normally filled into treated aluminium or specially prepared steel cylinders to protect stability, while blends with condensable components such as propane are filled to a pressure that keeps every component in the gas phase. The certificate lists each component, its concentration, the tolerance and the expiry date. For mixtures that will be used often, we suggest ordering two cylinders of the same recipe from one batch, which keeps results consistent when the first cylinder is exhausted.
