Single stage S₂+ O₂ Regulator — simple, robust pressure reduction for demanding lines
The single stage S₂+ O₂ regulator from REAL GAZ is built for service lines that carry sulphur-bearing and oxygen-containing gases where materials must resist attack. One-step pressure reduction keeps the design compact and easy to maintain.
Every unit is degreased and assembled in a clean area, because oxygen service tolerates no oil, grease or particles.

Oxygen-service regulators are built and cleaned in line with EN ISO 15001, EN ISO 2503 and ISO 7291 guidance, for industrial and laboratory use.
🏭 Where Single-Stage S₂/O₂ Regulators Are Used
- ⚙️ Process chemistry — single-stage units feed reagent gas to small reactors where inlet pressure stays reasonably constant;
- 🔬 Laboratory benches — analytical set-ups use compact regulators for a steady, low-volume feed to instruments;
- 🔥 Combustion testing — burner rigs take regulated oxygen-containing gas for controlled flame experiments;
- 🏭 Pilot plants — small-scale trials use simple regulators before design moves to full production equipment.
💡 Why Choose REAL GAZ
- ✅ Clean oxygen build — parts are cleaned and bagged to keep hydrocarbons away from oxidising gas;
- 🧪 Material compatibility — brass, stainless steel and suitable elastomers are offered according to the gas;
- 🎯 Straightforward operation — one adjusting knob and clear gauges make set-up quick for trained staff;
- 🔒 Safe by design — safety relief and tamper-resistant fittings reduce the risk of misuse;
- 📄 Certificate of Analysis (CoA) — supplied with every order.
🔬 Quality Control & Safety
- degreasing and ultrasonic cleaning;
- oxygen-clean assembly and sealed packing;
- seat leak and external leak testing;
- gauge accuracy check before dispatch.
Cylinders and equipment comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
📦 Specifications & Handling Notes
- 📦 Typical inlet — up to 200 bar for standard cylinders;
- 🧰 Outlet choices — fixed or adjustable ranges, for example 0–4 bar or 0–10 bar;
- 🚫 Handling rule — open cylinder valves slowly and never use lubricant on any fitting;
- 🗂️ Storage — keep regulators capped and in a clean, dry place until installation.
Rapid pressurisation is the main hazard in oxidising gas service, because adiabatic heating can ignite contamination inside a regulator. For that reason the cylinder valve should be opened slowly, the regulator adjusting screw should be backed off before pressurising, and the operator should stand to the side of the gauge face. Only personnel trained in oxygen safety should install or service these units.
Before commissioning, check that every wetted part is rated for both the oxidising and the sulphur-bearing component of the line. Where moisture is present, sulphur compounds can form acids that attack brass, so stainless steel is the safer option in wet service. Record the installation date, and schedule inspection of the seat and diaphragm at regular intervals, since polymer seats age faster in aggressive gas.
