R-134a has a global warming potential of 1,430, and EU F-gas rules limit its use in new equipment. Existing systems still need service gas, and we encourage leak repair, recovery and recycling. Fill by weight with a scale rather than by pressure alone.

Store cylinders upright in a cool, ventilated place below 50 °C, away from flames and hot surfaces. Open valves slowly, use hoses rated for the pressure and check fittings with an electronic detector rather than a flame. R-134a is non-flammable at normal conditions, but heated cylinders can rupture, and decomposition products of the gas in a fire are toxic.
Compatibility matters when servicing. R-134a needs POE or PAG lubricants and is not compatible with the mineral oil used with older R-12 systems, so retrofitting requires flushing and a new drier. Ordering is simple: state the quantity, cylinder size and whether you will return empties. Cylinders are refillable, which reduces waste, and we record each fill so that the gas in your hands can be traced to a production lot.
