Standard domestic and commercial formats such as 11 kg and 33 kg are typical, with other sizes available on request.
Cylinders conform to EN 1442 for welded steel LPG vessels, valves to EN 13152 or EN 13153, and transport to ADR under UN 1978.
Propane differs from butane in one practical respect: it keeps its pressure at low temperatures, so cylinders work well outdoors in winter. Cylinders should never be filled by the user, because overfilling removes the vapour space that protects against thermal expansion. REAL GAZ fills by weight on calibrated scales and checks every valve before the cylinder is released. For catering and mobile traders we can also advise on gas-tight enclosures, flexible hoses with the correct approvals and sensible cylinder placement on vehicles.
