Fabrication follows EN ISO 15614-1 welding qualifications, PED 2014/68/EU pressure equipment rules, DNV-ST-E271 and EN 12079 for lifting frames, with gas fittings to EN ISO 10297.
Manufacturing begins with a design package: a general arrangement drawing, a piping and instrumentation diagram, a parts list and a weld map. Structural steel for the frame is cut, welded and blasted before painting, and the manifold pipework is assembled from seamless tube, forged fittings and offshore-rated valves. Welders work to qualified procedures, and welds are marked so each can be traced to its welder. After assembly the manifold is cleaned, hydrostatically tested, dried, purged with nitrogen and sealed until installation. Customers may nominate a third-party inspector to witness these steps. Spare parts such as seals, pressure gauges and regulators can be packed with the unit, so that offshore maintenance teams do not need to wait for a supply vessel to fix a minor fault.
