The adjusting knob turns smoothly and does not require tools, the gauge faces are protected by a clear cover and the brass body resists corrosion in damp workshops. The standard outlet is a hose barb or a threaded nipple, depending on the version, and a sintered filter on the inlet catches particles before they reach the seat. Typical ranges are 0 to 10 bar and 0 to 25 bar, which cover most pneumatic and purge uses. For best life, avoid leaving the regulator pressurised overnight: close the cylinder valve, bleed the pressure out of the regulator and back off the adjusting knob. This simple habit prolongs seat and diaphragm life considerably. Replacement gauges, diaphragms and filter elements are available separately, so a single worn part does not mean discarding an otherwise sound regulator, and workshops can keep one spare kit on the shelf for rapid repairs.
For first-time users the safe routine is: check the connection, open the cylinder slowly, set the outlet with the downstream valve closed, and leak-test with a suitable fluid. Close the cylinder and vent the regulator after use to relieve the diaphragm.
