Cylinder sizes differ between markets and so do valve outlets. In Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia the DIN 477 outlet is common for non-flammable gases, while American-pattern CGA 580 fittings are used on imported equipment and in the USA. Adaptors exist, but a direct match is safer and removes a potential leak point. A 50-litre cylinder at 200 bar holds roughly 10 cubic metres of gas, so a sensible regulator choice also considers how long the cylinder must last at your flow rate. Cylinders should be secured with a chain or bracket, kept away from heat sources and stored upright, with the valve protection cap fitted during transport.
Never use PTFE tape on a cylinder connection that seals on a washer or cone. Check the cylinder valve for damage, open it slowly and always close the cylinder when the job is finished. Replace the washer whenever it shows wear.
