Multi-Gas Regulator โ one regulator body for several inert and mixed gases
A multi-gas regulator from REAL GAZ is designed for non-corrosive gases that share the same connection family, such as argon, nitrogen, helium, carbon dioxide and argon-based shielding mixtures.
Because the internal parts are compatible across that group, one regulator can be moved between cylinders without a full rebuild, which suits busy workshops and mobile teams.
Because the internal parts are compatible across that group, one regulator can be moved between cylinders without a full rebuild, which suits busy workshops and mobile teams.
The design is aligned with ISO 2503, shielding gases follow EN ISO 14175, and gauge scales are checked to EN 837-1, for industrial and fabrication use.
The flow behaviour of each gas differs because density differs. Helium is far lighter than argon, so a flowmeter calibrated for argon will under-read helium by a large margin; where a flow tube is fitted, correction factors are supplied with the data sheet. Typical working pressures for these gases on workshop lines are 2 to 6 bar, and the regulator body is rated well above that so the diaphragm operates in a comfortable part of its range. Where a shop also handles oxygen or acetylene, keeping the inert regulators visibly separate, for example with coloured tags, prevents accidental cross-use.
๐ญ Where Multi-Gas Regulators Are Used
- โ๏ธ Mixed fabrication shops โ a single regulator style covers MIG, TIG and plasma gas on different cylinders;
- ๐ฌ Research benches โ inert carrier and purge gases are switched without stocking a regulator per gas;
- ๐ญ Maintenance crews โ a service van carries one regulator type that fits most inert cylinders;
- ๐ Training centres โ students learn setup on a single, well-documented model.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Fewer spare parts โ one body style simplifies stock and servicing;
- ๐งช Dual-scale dials โ flow or pressure scales suited to more than one gas are printed on the gauge;
- ๐ฏ Clear limits โ the data sheet states which gases are approved and which are not, so mistakes are avoided;
- ๐ Safe changeovers โ check valves and relief devices protect the regulator when cylinders are swapped;
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order of gas cylinders.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- verification of approved gas list and materials;
- outlet pressure repeatability at three set points;
- helium leak test of body and seals;
- visual and dimensional inspection of connections.
Multi-gas does not mean any gas: oxygen, fuel gases and corrosive gases always need their own dedicated regulators. Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
โ๏ธ Trusted Gas Solutions
REAL GAZ stocks the Multi-Gas Regulator alongside single-gas models, supplying industrial and laboratory customers in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan and the USA, and helping each buyer decide when a dedicated regulator is the safer choice.
