MEDIMETER OXYGEN FLOW GAUGE โ visual flow indication for oxygen lines
The Medimeter oxygen flow gauge offered by REAL GAZ indicates oxygen flow in litres per minute with a calibrated tube and a floating ball or bobbin.
It is built for connection to a regulator outlet or a low-pressure line and shows the flow without drawing any power.

The gauge is intended for use with equipment conforming to ISO 5359 low-pressure hose connections and ISO 15001 oxygen material rules in industrial and laboratory settings.
๐ญ Where Flow Gauges Are Used
- โ๏ธ Heat-treatment furnaces โ operators verify oxygen flow to furnace atmospheres during start-up and routine checks;
- ๐ฌ Biotechnology benches โ gas is delivered to culture and reactor systems at a flow that can be repeated;
- ๐ฅ Maintenance departments โ engineers test gas distribution outlets with a reference gauge;
- ๐ Pilot plants โ small-scale trials need a clear indication while process settings are being optimised.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Fast visual check โ the floating indicator rises with flow, so deviations are seen quickly;
- ๐งช Suitable materials โ brass, stainless parts and oxygen-compatible seals are chosen for stability;
- ๐ฏ Adjustable setting โ a built-in valve lets users fine-tune the outlet flow;
- ๐ Reliable sealing โ every assembled gauge is bubble-tested before it leaves the warehouse;
- ๐ Product documentation โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- cleaning to oxygen-service level;
- scale and float inspection;
- bubble leak test at working pressure;
- sealed packaging against dust.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
Install the gauge vertically and tighten connections by hand first, then with a suitable spanner, without over-stressing the thread. Pressurise slowly to avoid a sudden jump of the float. Never test oxygen equipment with oil-based leak detectors, and do not use a damaged scale for decisions about process flow. Store spare gauges in their bags, away from workshop dirt and temperature extremes.
Reading the gauge correctly is simple but worth practising. Keep your eye level with the float, read the value at the widest point of a ball or the top edge of a bobbin, and wait a few seconds after any change before noting the number. Small pulsations may come from a regulator that is too small for the demand, so consider a larger regulator if the float flutters. Our team can advise on pairings that give a calm, steady reading.
