Laboratory lots are certified following ISO 6142-1 and ISO 6143, while industrial lots are filled under controlled procedures aligned with EN ISO 14175 where welding use applies.
The laboratory range typically uses 5.0-grade base gases and is offered in small cylinders of 2 to 10 litres, with composition stated to a defined relative uncertainty. The industrial range uses 4.6 or 5.0 argon and technical-grade nitrogen in 20, 40 and 50-litre cylinders, as well as multi-cylinder packs for continuous consumption. Typical nitrogen contents run from 1% to 20%, and special ratios, for example for thermal-spray or sputtering trials, can be agreed at the time of ordering.

Keep regulators dedicated to inert service and avoid oil or grease on any fitting. When changing from a laboratory to an industrial cylinder on the same line, purge the regulator and tubing with the new gas. Return cylinders with a small residual pressure so that no air enters the vessel.
