- Never seal an industrial Dewar with a tight plug; the vent must stay free.
- Pour slowly to limit splashing, wearing face shield and cryo gloves.
- Store flasks upright and dry, because moisture can freeze the neck.
- Choose a 25 to 50 litre flask on a wheeled base for continuous workshop use, and smaller carry flasks for mobile maintenance teams.
- Use a pouring spout or transfer tube instead of tipping the flask, which is safer and wastes less liquid.
