Industrial and Laboratory Acetylene โ one gas, two quality levels, matched to your process
Industrial and Laboratory Acetylene from REAL GAZ covers both the rugged fuel-gas grade used for cutting and the higher-purity grade used as the fuel in atomic absorption spectrometers.
Laboratory users need acetylene with low acetone carry-over, because solvent vapour disturbs the flame and shifts the baseline signal.

Supply follows EN ISO 3807 for cylinders and ISO 17025 practice for analysis, suitable for industrial plants and analytical laboratories alike.
๐ญ Where Acetylene Is Used
- ๐ฌ Atomic absorption spectroscopy โ acetylene with nitrous oxide or air creates the flame for measuring metals such as calcium, magnesium and aluminium;
- ๐ญ Metal cutting โ industrial grade supplies economical oxy-fuel cutting in fabrication shops;
- ๐งซ Environmental testing โ water and soil laboratories use flame AAS to determine trace metals;
- ๐ซ Teaching laboratories โ universities run student spectroscopy exercises that need predictable flame behaviour.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Grade selection โ we help you pick between standard and laboratory grade according to your instrument and method;
- ๐งช Solvent management โ guidance on keeping cylinders upright and limiting draw-off helps reduce acetone entering the instrument line;
- ๐ฏ Low-point advice โ labs are advised to change cylinders at around 5 bar to protect burners and avoid acetone surges;
- ๐ Traceable records โ batch information and test results support your own quality documentation;
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- multi-stage purification of the acetylene stream;
- gas chromatographic purity verification on laboratory lots;
- moisture and impurity analysis, including phosphine and sulphur compounds;
- leak testing and pressure integrity checks.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
๐ฆ Handling & Storage of Acetylene
In the laboratory, run acetylene to the spectrometer through short lengths of suitable tubing with a stainless or approved regulator, a flashback arrestor and a leak-tight fitting. Keep the cylinder in a ventilated cabinet or outside the room, secured upright. Ignite the burner only when the extraction is running and the oxidant is flowing. For long analytical runs, plan a spare cylinder so that the pressure never drops below the minimum recommended by the spectrometer maker.
โ๏ธ Trusted Gas Solutions
REAL GAZ offers Industrial and Laboratory Acetylene together with nitrous oxide, argon, regulators and gas lines for spectrometers, supporting customers in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan and the USA. A single account can cover the cutting shop and the quality laboratory in the same plant.
Typical laboratory cylinders hold between two and six cubic metres of gas, while workshop users usually prefer larger sizes of around ten cubic metres or more.
If you are unsure which grade your method requires, send us the instrument model and the method reference, and our technical team will recommend a suitable cylinder and regulator combination within a short time.
REAL GAZ โ acetylene for the workshop and the lab bench.
