Seamless steel cylinders conform to ISO 9809-1 or ISO 9809-2, with periodic inspection under ISO 10462 and EN ISO 11114-1 compatibility checks for hydrogen service.
Hydrogen can embrittle high-strength steels, so cylinder tensile strength is limited for this duty and each unit is marked with its test pressure and last test date. Periodic hydrostatic or ultrasonic requalification is typically required every ten years, and our records flag each cylinder before it falls due.
