Higher pressure increases the energy released in a backfire and raises ignition risk in contaminated components. For that reason devices for high-pressure duty use heavier bodies, tested seals and carefully selected materials. They should be fitted only to lines whose rated pressure matches the device, and every installation should include a pressure relief and correctly rated hoses or pipework.
When specifying a device, state the maximum inlet pressure, the required flow in cubic metres per hour, the connection type and the position in the line. Our technicians can review a pipework diagram and recommend where to place devices, regulators and isolation valves for the safest layout.
For pack and manifold users, we also supply regulators, isolation valves, hoses and pigtails rated for the same pressure class, so that the whole line from cylinders to cutting machine is consistent. Mixed-rating assemblies are a common cause of failure and are best avoided at the design stage.
