A High Pressure Nitrogen Regulator is designed for two demanding conditions: very high inlet pressure from 300 bar cylinder packs, and elevated outlet pressure for processes that need far more than a standard 10 bar delivery.

At these pressures, construction details matter. Bodies are forged from brass or stainless steel, gauges carry safety backs and blow-out features, and soft seats are specified to resist extrusion. Connections should be rated for the full working pressure, and hoses must be certified assemblies, never improvised. Operators should stand to the side of the gauge when opening the cylinder valve, release the pressure slowly after use and inspect threads for damage regularly.
Because stored energy is so high in a charged high-pressure system, a written procedure is recommended. It should cover cylinder securing, connection checks, controlled pressurisation in steps, a hold period to look for leaks, and a controlled vent at the end. Components in the circuit, including hoses, valves and instruments, must each be rated at or above the highest pressure the regulator can deliver.
