High Pressure Liquid Gas Cylinders โ steel vessels for gases that liquefy under pressure
High pressure liquid gas cylinders hold gases such as COโ, nitrous oxide, ammonia, chlorine and propane in liquid form at ambient temperature. REAL GAZ fills seamless steel and aluminium cylinders for these liquefied gases, with valves and dip tubes selected for gas or liquid withdrawal.
Because the contents are pressurised liquid, correct filling ratio is critical, and each cylinder is filled by weight.

Cylinders are manufactured to ISO 9809 (steel) and ISO 7866 (aluminium), with periodic inspection per ISO 10462 and EN 1964-type requirements.
๐ญ Where High-Pressure Liquefied Gas Cylinders Are Used
- โ๏ธ Beverage dispensing โ COโ cylinders with dip tubes carbonate drinks in bars, restaurants and breweries;
- ๐ฌ Dental and veterinary clinics โ nitrous oxide mixes are delivered in dedicated cylinders under strict handling procedures;
- ๐ฅ Refrigeration service โ liquefied refrigerants are filled by weight for recovery, charging and testing work;
- ๐ Chemical processing โ chlorine, ammonia and sulphur dioxide cylinders are used for dosing in controlled industrial processes.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Filling by weight โ each cylinder is filled to the permitted filling ratio, protecting against over-pressure at high temperatures;
- ๐งช Correct valve selection โ outlet threads follow the gas family so incompatible connections are avoided;
- ๐ฏ Dip-tube options โ siphon cylinders provide liquid withdrawal where the process requires it;
- ๐ Hydrostatic test records โ test dates and stamp marks are checked before every refill.
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฆ Handling & Storage of High-Pressure Liquefied Gas Cylinders
- Secure cylinders upright with chains or brackets and keep protective caps in place.
- Keep away from heat sources; the pressure rises quickly with temperature.
- Close the valve after use and never lubricate valve threads.
- Match the cylinder size to usage; a typical beverage COโ cylinder holds 6 to 30 kg, while industrial sizes run to larger capacities.
- Choose a siphon cylinder when liquid is required and a standard cylinder when only vapour is drawn.
- Remember that vapour withdrawal chills the cylinder, so high flow rates may need a heater or a manifold of several cylinders.
- Never refill a cylinder with a different gas; dedicated cylinders protect product quality and safety.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- hydrostatic test and visual inspection of each cylinder;
- valve and thread condition checks;
- filling-weight verification on calibrated scales;
- leak detection after filling.
Cylinders are transported according to ADR / UN and carry the labels and pictograms required for their gas class.
