HIGH PRESSURE GAS SAFETY DEVICE โ protection for systems up to 300 bar
A High Pressure Gas Safety Device from REAL GAZ is made for systems where cylinder, manifold or pipe pressure reaches 200 bar, 300 bar or beyond. It limits overpressure, restricts runaway flow and isolates failed sections.
Typical devices include relief valves, burst discs, excess-flow valves and high-pressure check valves, manufactured from forged brass or stainless steel.

Products follow EN ISO 4126, ISO 10297 and PED 2014/68/EU principles for process and analytical systems.
๐ญ Where High Pressure Safety Devices Are Used
- โ๏ธ Cylinder manifolds โ protect pigtails and headers fed by several high-pressure cylinders;
- ๐ฌ Hydrogen and helium systems โ guard small-molecule gases that leak easily at high pressure;
- ๐ฅ Compressed air and nitrogen โ limit risk in test benches and pneumatic rigs;
- ๐ Gas filling stations โ add shut-off protection at filling ramps.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Rated components โ pressure ratings are marked and traceable;
- ๐งช Material suitability โ stainless steel is available for aggressive media;
- ๐ฏ Compact formats โ fit confined cabinets and panels;
- ๐ Proof testing โ units can be proof tested to your requirement;
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- hydrostatic or pneumatic proof testing;
- relief set-point verification;
- helium leak checks;
- thread inspection and marking.
Pressurise systems slowly and keep personnel clear of connections. Cylinders move under ADR / UN rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
Design considerations: every device in a high-pressure line should have a rating higher than the maximum source pressure, including any pressure rise from temperature changes. Relief valves must discharge to a safe place, away from people and ignition sources, and burst discs must be replaced after operation. Use stainless steel in hydrogen, corrosive or high-purity service, and avoid sharp bends and abrupt volume changes that cause shock. Open cylinder valves slowly to prevent adiabatic heating of seals, and use correct torque on fittings. A scheduled leak survey with helium or approved detection fluid gives early warning of seal wear before it becomes a hazard. For critical installations, ask for material certificates and pressure test records to be filed with the system documentation. Keep a spare relief valve and burst disc of each rating on site so that a tripped device can be exchanged without delay and the system returned to service safely.
