High pressure CO gas from REAL GAZ is carbon monoxide stored at pressures commonly up to 200 bar in seamless steel cylinders. Holding more gas per cylinder reduces change-over frequency, but it also requires components rated for the pressure.

Design and handling refer to ISO 9809-1 for cylinders, EN ISO 10524-1 for regulators and ISO 11114-1 for material compatibility, for industrial and research installations.
Pressure ratings are only part of the answer; the material of every component in contact with the gas must also be compatible. Copper alloys with high copper content, for example, can be affected under certain conditions, so regulators for CO are normally brass of approved composition or stainless steel. Gauge dials should be marked for the correct service, and the outlet pressure should always be selected below the rating of downstream pipework. Pressure testing of pipework with inert gas before introducing CO is recommended as a routine step for all new installations.
