High Pressure CO₂ Solid — solid carbon dioxide made from pressurised liquid CO₂
High pressure CO₂ solid describes the route by which dry ice is made: liquid carbon dioxide stored near 57 bar at 20 °C is expanded, forms snow at −78.5 °C and is compressed into dense pellets.
REAL GAZ supplies both the finished solid and the pressurised feed that makes it.
Equipment and cylinders meet PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445 principles and ADR rules, suitable for production and engineering use.
The triple point of carbon dioxide lies at 5.18 bar and −56.6 °C, so solid forms only when pressure falls below that value. Engineers designing pressing lines can discuss tank sizing, vaporiser capacity and relief devices with us before commissioning.

🏭 Where High-Pressure CO₂ Solid Is Used
  • ⚙️ Pellet production — hydraulic extruders press snow into 3 mm and 16 mm dry ice;
  • 🔬 Bulk CO₂ storage — vacuum-insulated tanks feed larger dry ice plants at 15 to 20 bar;
  • 🏥 Supercritical processes — CO₂ above 73.8 bar serves extraction and cleaning applications;
  • 🚀 Pressure-cleaning — blast machines use dry ice with compressed air at controlled pressure.

💡 Why Choose REAL GAZ
  • ✅ Technical know-how — engineers advise on pressures and fittings;
  • 🧪 Reliable feed gas — low-moisture CO₂ prevents icing and blockages;
  • 🎯 Certified vessels — cylinders and tanks carry valid test marks;
  • 🔒 Safe design — relief devices and ventilation are part of every recommendation.
  • 📄 Certificate of Analysis (CoA) — supplied with every order.

🔬 Quality Control & Safety
  • feed CO₂ analysis for water and oil content;
  • pressure relief valve inspection;
  • cylinder test certificate checks;
  • leak testing at working pressure.
Cylinders and packaging comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.

⚙️ Trusted Gas Solutions
REAL GAZ supports customers who need high pressure CO₂ solid or its liquid feed in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan and the USA, with safety as the first consideration.
Trapped dry ice is dangerous. A sealed container holding dry ice can rupture violently as sublimation raises internal pressure, so every system we advise on includes pressure relief and venting. Staff should be trained to recognise symptoms of CO₂ exposure such as headache and rapid breathing, and should leave the area at once if an alarm sounds.
Process engineers should also note that the phase behaviour of carbon dioxide is unusual: it cannot exist as a liquid below 5.18 bar, which is why open containers of dry ice produce gas, not liquid. For industrial pelletisers, a stable feed pressure of around 20 bar from an insulated tank gives smooth operation. We can discuss tank installation, vaporiser sizing, delivery by tanker and the safety distances your site layout may require.
REAL GAZ — pressure managed, cold delivered.
