📦 Handling & Storage of Acetylene
Fit a pressure-reducing regulator and a gauge reading to at least 25 bar on the inlet side, and never exceed the stated outlet limit. Pipework should be of steel or stainless steel, fixed, earthed, labelled and pressure tested, with flame arrestors at every branch. Purge lines with inert gas before first use and after maintenance. Regulator diaphragms and gauges should be replaced on schedule, and any regulator showing creep should be taken out of service and returned for inspection.
