Gas Flashback Arrestor โ1 โ Gas Flashback Arrestors for safe gas work
A Gas Flashback Arrestor โ1 offers a first stage of defence against flame travel in bottled gas systems, and REAL GAZ offers it with gas-specific connections.
Each unit is stamped with its gas, maximum pressure and flow direction so installers can fit it correctly first time.

๐ ๏ธ Fitting & Care Notes
Store arrestors in sealed bags to keep dust out of the ports. When fitting, tighten by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then finish with a correct spanner. After installation, apply leak test fluid and observe for bubbles, which signal a poor seal that must be fixed before the set is used. Never use PTFE tape on threads that seal by a conical face.
The marking on each unit tells you the gas, maximum pressure and standard it meets. Always read it before fitting, even if the colour of the cap seems obvious. Fuel gas arrestors use left-hand threads, so a wrong connection becomes difficult. On site, keep arrestors off the ground and out of dust, and wipe the sealing faces clean before fitting. Flow testing is easy: connect the regulator, open the cylinder slowly and check that the downstream gauge steadies without a long delay. A slow rise suggests a clogged element. Because this is a first-series unit, replacement is quick and does not require tools beyond a standard spanner.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- machined components inspected before assembly;
- sintered element and valve function checks;
- leak testing and pressure integrity checks;
- clear marking of gas, direction and maximum pressure.
Cylinders and accessories comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
