Panels come in several formats. A basic panel contains an inlet isolation valve, a regulator with two gauges and an outlet valve, which is enough for a single workshop line. A more elaborate panel adds a filter, a relief valve, a flow meter, a changeover valve between two racks and a purge connection for flushing. For breathing air or oxygen, parts are degreased and assembled in clean conditions, and only compatible lubricants and seals are used. Hydrogen and other flammable gases call for materials that resist embrittlement and for flame arrestors on outlet lines. Stainless tube and compression fittings give leak-tight joints that survive vibration. Each panel carries a nameplate showing the gas, the maximum inlet pressure and the set outlet pressure, helping operators check settings at a glance.
