gas bundle for offshore use โ manifolded cylinder bundles built for the deck
A gas bundle for offshore use joins several high-pressure cylinders through a common header so that one connection delivers the whole volume. REAL GAZ supplies bundles in galvanised or painted frames, ready for the harsh, salt-laden air of the sea.
Because the cylinders are permanently piped together, crews connect once and draw gas continuously rather than swapping single bottles in bad weather.

Bundle design considers EN ISO 10297 valve requirements, ISO 11120 and ISO 9809 cylinder specifications, plus DNV 2.7-1 lifting principles where the customer requires them.
A bundle differs from a rack mainly in how it is plumbed. The cylinder valves feed into a high-pressure copper, brass or stainless header, which ends at a single outlet valve with a standard connection. Individual cylinder isolation valves remain in place, so one damaged cylinder can be closed off without losing the rest of the pack. Bundles are used for gases where a steady draw is needed, for instance nitrogen for hydrotesting, argon for pipe welding or compressed air for tools. Gross weights are higher than loose cylinders, so lifting frames are designed with a wide safety margin. Burst discs or thermal relief devices can be fitted to protect the header, and a drain valve allows the line to be vented safely before maintenance.
๐ญ Where Offshore Cylinder Bundles Are Used
- โ๏ธ Pipeline hydrotest โ nitrogen bundles pressurise lines during commissioning of platform pipework;
- ๐ฌ Wellhead services โ inert gas bundles support well control equipment and accumulator precharge;
- ๐ฅ Shielding gas โ argon bundles provide long uninterrupted welds on jackets and risers;
- ๐ Helideck and fire systems โ dry nitrogen bundles keep suppression circuits charged.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Fewer changeovers โ one header connection reduces handling and lowers risk on a moving deck;
- ๐งช Corrosion resistance โ hot-dip galvanising and marine paint systems are available;
- ๐ฏ High usable volume โ a sixteen-cylinder bundle of 50 litre cylinders holds roughly 150 cubic metres of nitrogen at 200 bar;
- ๐ Matched outlets โ DIN, CGA and BS connections can be specified to suit existing hoses;
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- manifold pressure test at 1.5 times working pressure;
- header and valve inspection before filling;
- fill gas purity certified batch by batch;
- tamper-evident closure and labelling on dispatch.
Bundles are transported as a unit under ADR / UN provisions with proper placarding and securing.
โ๏ธ Trusted Gas Solutions
REAL GAZ offers a gas bundle for offshore use with fill, delivery and return handled from our bases serving Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan and the USA, so operators can plan consumption by rig schedule rather than by cylinder count.
