Standard cylinder sizes are available, and bespoke compositions can be agreed for research burners. When you specify a blend, please tell us the nozzle type, expected gas flow and working pressure; with that information we can estimate flame speed and Wobbe index, and avoid flame lift-off or flashback at your operating point.
Safe use of any fuel gas depends on the whole installation. Fit a regulator designed for the gas, a non-return valve and a flashback arrestor at the torch and at the regulator, and check hoses for ageing every few months. Never use oil or grease on fittings, because fuel gas systems are often used alongside oxygen. We provide data on density, flammable limits and autoignition temperature in the safety data sheet, and our staff can explain the key points to your operators in a short briefing.
