🛠️ Fitting & Care Notes
A flashback unit is only one part of a safe cutting set. Hoses should be inspected for cracks, clamps tightened and cylinders kept upright and secured. Purge each line with the torch valves open before lighting, and always follow the lighting sequence in the manufacturer's instructions, so that gases are never mixed inside the hose.
Because the first series is intended for general use, it is built for simple handling rather than special duties. The housings are lightweight, the threads are standard, and the internal parts are easy to clean from outside. If you have a mixed fleet of old torches and regulators, we can usually find an adapter so that a protective device can be fitted without replacing the whole set. A flashback unit should never be repaired by drilling or welding the housing, and a unit that has seen a real flame event should always be replaced.
