Racks are specified against DNV 2.7-1, DNV-ST-E271 and EN 12079 for offshore lifting, with gas content handled under ISO 10286 terminology and EN 1964 cylinder requirements.
Choosing a dealer is largely a question of risk. A rack that arrives without a valid lifting certificate may be refused at the quayside, stranding gas and delaying a vessel departure. For that reason we ask for the intended gas, the rack capacity, the lifting method and the destination before proposing a configuration. Typical racks carry 12 or 16 cylinders of 50 litres at 200 or 300 bar, though half-height and single-tier designs are also built. Nameplates show the maximum gross weight, tare weight and rack serial number, and the cylinder pack is recorded with its hydrostatic test dates. Customers can buy racks outright, or hire them and return empties to our depot for refilling, which suits campaigns where the rack count varies from month to month.
