Cryogenic Liquid Propane โ refrigerated propane for low-temperature duties
Cryogenic Liquid Propane from REAL GAZ refers to propane handled as a refrigerated liquid at about โ42 ยฐC and near atmospheric pressure, rather than as a pressurised liquid at ambient temperature.
Storing propane this way allows very large volumes to be moved efficiently and supports applications that use its cooling capacity.
Storing propane this way allows very large volumes to be moved efficiently and supports applications that use its cooling capacity.
REAL GAZ follows EN 13458 and EN 14620 principles for insulated low-temperature storage, ISO 21029 for transportable vacuum-insulated vessels and EN 1473 guidance for refrigerated hydrocarbon installations.
๐ญ Where Cryogenic Propane Is Used
- ๐ข Bulk marine and terminal supply โ moving refrigerated propane between terminals before it is warmed and distributed;
- ๐งช Petrochemical feedstock โ feeding propane dehydrogenation units that produce propylene for plastics;
- โ๏ธ Process cooling โ using propane as the working fluid in low-temperature heat exchange loops;
- ๐ฌ Cold-trap experiments โ providing a controlled low-temperature liquid in research on hydrocarbons and phase behaviour.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- ๐ฆ Large volumes in less space โ refrigerated storage holds far more product per tank than pressurised bullets;
- ๐ง Insulation expertise โ vessel selection and boil-off management are discussed with you before delivery;
- ๐ฏ Application matching โ we help you decide whether refrigerated, semi-refrigerated or pressurised supply is right for your site;
- ๐ Low-temperature safety โ guidance covers brittle-fracture risk, cold burns and flammable atmosphere control;
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฆ Handling & Supply Notes
Refrigerated propane storage relies on low-temperature steel, thick insulation and a reliquefaction or flare system to deal with heat leaking into the tank. Operators must avoid sudden filling with warm product, as it causes rapid vaporisation, and must prevent contact of cold liquid with ordinary carbon steel pipework. Personal protective equipment includes face shields, insulated gloves and flame-resistant clothing. Pre-delivery meetings cover tank condition, transfer hoses, earthing, emergency shutdown and communication between driver and receiving operator. Emergency preparedness completes the picture. Plans should address leaks, vapour cloud dispersion, fire fighting with dry powder and the isolation of nearby ignition sources. We are pleased to share typical emergency response information with your safety team and to take part in drills where operations require it.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- verification of product temperature and pressure;
- hydrocarbon composition and moisture analysis;
- insulation and vacuum integrity inspection;
- relief valve inspection and leak testing.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
โ๏ธ Trusted Gas Solutions
Industrial customers in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia and Uzbekistan, as well as export partners in the USA, contact REAL GAZ when a project needs cryogenic liquid propane. Our team coordinates specification, documentation and safe handling advice, so operators understand the hazards of a flammable liquid held far below ambient temperature.
REAL GAZ โ refrigerated propane handled with respect for the cold.
