Compressed gas is classified as UN 1049 under ADR, with cylinders marked to EN ISO 13769 and approved under TPED.
A 50 L cylinder at 200 bar holds about 9 m³ of hydrogen at standard conditions, and a 12-cylinder pack roughly 108 m³. Because filling heats the gas, final pressure is corrected to 15 °C so that the contents you pay for are the contents you receive. Always secure cylinders upright and store them away from oxidisers.
Pressure is only half of the picture; the other half is flow. A single cylinder regulator can deliver a limited flow before it freezes or drops pressure, so high consumption requires a manifold with several cylinders in parallel or a pack with a header. Use a pressure reducer rated for hydrogen at the full cylinder pressure, fit a safety relief valve downstream, and check every joint with a leak detection fluid approved for oxygen-free service.
