Compressed Gas Cylinder โ High-Pressure Storage You Can Trust
A compressed gas cylinder stores gas in the gaseous state at high pressure, typically 150, 200 or 300 bar. REAL GAZ supplies seamless steel cylinders for gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium, hydrogen and compressed air.
The thick quenched-and-tempered steel wall and certified valve make the cylinder both strong and portable.
The thick quenched-and-tempered steel wall and certified valve make the cylinder both strong and portable.
Design and testing follow ISO 9809-1, EN 1964-1 and ADR transport requirements, with periodic inspection under EN 1968 for steel cylinders, serving industry and services.
๐ญ Where Compressed Gas Cylinders Are Used
- โ๏ธ Industrial processing โ nitrogen and compressed air power tools, purge equipment and protect products during manufacture;
- ๐ฌ Emergency and safety services โ breathing air cylinders support fire brigades and rescue teams;
- ๐ฅ Beverage and food service โ carbon dioxide and nitrogen drive dispensing systems and carbonation;
- ๐ Energy and laboratories โ hydrogen and helium cylinders serve fuel cell tests, leak detection and analysis.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Certified construction โ each cylinder carries clear markings for standard, pressure, capacity and test date;
- ๐งช Choice of pressure โ 150, 200 and 300 bar options let you balance gas volume against cylinder size;
- ๐ฏ Valve protection โ caps and guards limit damage during transport;
- ๐ Return and exchange โ empty cylinders are collected and replaced to keep your work moving;
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- ten-yearly hydrostatic test and inspection;
- thread and valve condition check;
- gas identity and purity verification;
- leak testing of valve and seals.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
๐ Capacity and Handling
A 50 litre cylinder filled to 200 bar holds roughly 10 cubic metres of gas, which helps estimate how long a job will last. Use a trolley rather than rolling cylinders, protect valves during lifting, and never expose cylinders to temperatures above 50 ยฐC. Check the test date before use, and do not accept cylinders with deep corrosion, dents or damaged threads. Colour coding helps users identify the gas quickly, but the label and valve outlet must always be checked as well. Under EN 1089-3, oxygen cylinders have a white shoulder, nitrogen black, argon dark green, and acetylene maroon, while COโ is grey. Right-hand and left-hand threads separate oxidising and flammable gases, preventing incorrect regulator fitting and reducing accidents.
