📐 Sizes, Pressures and Valves
Cylinders are commonly specified by water capacity in litres and working pressure in bar, which together set the gas volume. A 12 litre cylinder at 200 bar carries about 2,400 litres of free gas, while a 15 litre unit at 300 bar carries about 4,500 litres. Valves come with DIN 200 or 300 bar connections, yoke fittings and special outlets for oxygen service. Neck threads are usually M25x2 or 3/4 inch NGT depending on the manufacturer.
