Acetylene Regulator โ2 โ safe regulation for acetylene welding and cutting
Acetylene Regulator โ2 is made for dissolved acetylene cylinders, which require a regulator designed for the fuel gas and limited to a safe delivery pressure.
Acetylene must never be used above 1.5 bar gauge, so the regulator has a restricted outlet range, a clear fuel-gas marking and a yoke or thread fitting suited to the acetylene valve.

The unit is selected in line with EN ISO 2503, with flashback arrestors to EN ISO 5175-1 and hose to ISO 3821, for industrial welding and cutting.
๐ญ Where Acetylene Regulators Are Used
- โ๏ธ Gas welding โ oxy-acetylene torches join thin steel and repair castings;
- ๐ฌ Flame cutting โ steel plate is cut with a stable fuel gas flame;
- ๐ฅ Brazing โ copper pipes and fittings are joined with controlled heat;
- ๐ Heating and straightening โ fabricators use flame to bend and correct steel sections.
๐ก Why Choose REAL GAZ
- โ Built for fuel gas โ materials and seals are suitable for acetylene service;
- ๐งช Limited outlet range โ the scale is restricted to protect the user from unsafe settings;
- ๐ฏ Compatible fittings โ yoke or screw connections match your cylinders;
- ๐ Safety support โ guidance on non-return valves and flashback arrestors.
- ๐ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) โ supplied with every order.
๐ฌ Quality Control & Safety
- fuel gas regulators are kept separate from oxygen units;
- leak tests are carried out at working pressure;
- no copper-rich alloys are used in contact with acetylene;
- gauge ranges are verified.
Acetylene is stored dissolved in acetone inside a porous mass, which is why the cylinder must be kept upright and why the withdrawal rate is limited. As a rule, do not draw more than one seventh of the cylinder content per hour, or acetone may be carried into the regulator and hose. The regulator body should never contain copper alloys with more than 70 per cent copper, because acetylene can form explosive acetylides. Regulators use a yoke clamp or a screw fitting, depending on the national pattern. Check the hose and fittings for leaks with soapy water, never with a flame. Regulators should be serviced annually and replaced if the gauge is cracked or the outlet creeps. Never use oil or grease on any part of the equipment.
Acetylene cylinders should always be stored and used upright, secured against falling. Open the cylinder valve by no more than one and a half turns so that it can be closed quickly in an emergency, and fit a flashback arrestor on both the regulator and the torch.
Cylinders comply with ADR / UN transport rules and relevant EN/ISO standards.
